Schengen visa photo (35 × 45 mm)
Every Schengen consulate follows the ICAO photo standard: 35 × 45 mm, face filling 70–80 % of the height, light plain background and a neutral expression. We crop to it and check the rest.

Common questions
Is it the same for every Schengen country?
The base standard (ICAO) is the same, but some consulates add rules such as a white background. Check your consulate’s checklist.
Can I smile?
No. Schengen photos need a neutral expression with the mouth closed.
Is my photo uploaded anywhere?
No. Face detection, cropping and all checks run inside your browser. Your photo is never sent to our servers.
Is acceptance guaranteed?
No one outside the issuing authority can guarantee acceptance. We check the measurable rules (size, head height, eye line, background, light, sharpness) so you can catch problems before you submit.
