Questions
Why don’t you remove or replace my background?
Because the rules say not to. The U.S. State Department, GOV.UK and IRCC all require original, unaltered photos, and the State Department lists background cut-outs as unacceptable. A photo against a real white wall is the safest choice, so we check your background instead of faking it.
Is my photo uploaded?
No. Everything – face detection, measuring, cropping and checks – runs in your browser. The photo never leaves your device.
What do I get?
A digital file in the exact pixel size and file-size limit for your document, plus a 4×6 inch sheet you can print at any photo kiosk for well under a dollar.
Do you print or mail photos?
No. We are digital-only. Print the 4×6 sheet at CVS, Walgreens, Walmart, Boots or any photo kiosk.
Is acceptance guaranteed?
No independent tool can guarantee it – the issuing authority always decides. We measure the published rules so you can fix problems before you submit.
